About Us
We are a patient-focused dental practice in Nova Scotia, dedicated to providing high-quality care in a warm, supportive environment. Our team works collaboratively to ensure that every patient receives exceptional care, and we are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our practice. If you’re passionate about patient education and promoting oral health, we’d love for you to be part of our team!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
- Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and risk assessments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care
- Ensure patient comfort during hygiene procedures by providing a calm, gentle, and caring experience
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the best patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist in Nova Scotia
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, equipment, and sterilization practices
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Experience in a dental practice setting is preferred but not required
